How to use and protect the plant protection drone battery has become the most concerned issue for many pilots.

1. The intelligent battery is not discharged
The intelligent battery used by the plant protection drone should be used within a reasonable voltage range. If the voltage is over-discharged, the battery will be damaged if it is light, or the voltage will be too low and cause the aircraft to blow up. Some pilots fly to the limit every time they fly because of the small number of batteries, which will lead to a shortened battery life. So try to charge and discharge the battery as shallow as possible during normal flight, thus increasing the battery life.
At the end of each flight, the battery should be replenished in time when stored for a long time to avoid over-discharge of storage, which will lead to low voltage of the battery, and the main board light will not light up and can not be charged and work, which will lead to the battery scrapping in serious cases.
2. Smart battery safe placement
Hold and place lightly. The outer skin of the battery is an important structure to prevent the battery from exploding and leaking liquid and catching fire, and the breakage of the outer skin of the battery will directly lead to the battery catching fire or exploding. Intelligent batteries should be held and placed gently, and when fixing the intelligent battery on the agricultural drone, the battery should be fastened to the medicine box. Because there is a possibility that the battery may fall off and be thrown out because it is not fastened tightly when doing a large dynamic flight or crashing, which will easily cause damage to the outer skin of the battery.
Do not charge and discharge in high/low temperature environment. Extreme temperatures will affect the performance and life of the smart battery, check that the used battery has cooled down before charging, do not charge or discharge in a cold garage, basement, under direct sunlight or near a heat source.
Smart batteries should be placed in a cool environment for storage. For long-term storage of smart batteries, it is best to place them in a sealed explosion-proof box with a recommended ambient temperature of 10~25C and dry, non-corrosive gases.
3. Safe transportation of smart batteries
Smart batteries are most afraid of bumps and friction, transportation bumps may cause internal short circuit of smart batteries, thus causing unnecessary accidents. At the same time, to avoid conductive substances at the same time contact with the positive and negative poles of the smart battery. During transportation, the best way is to put the battery in a self-sealing bag and place it in an explosion-proof box.
Some pesticide additives are flammable additives, so pesticides should be placed separately from the smart battery.
4. Away from pesticides to prevent battery corrosion
Pesticides are corrosive to smart batteries, and inadequate external protection can also cause corrosion to smart batteries. Incorrect use may also corrode the plug of the smart battery. Therefore, users must avoid the corrosion of drugs on the smart battery after charging and during actual operation. After the end of the operation of the smart battery must be placed away from drugs, so as to reduce the corrosion of drugs on the smart battery.
5. Regularly check the appearance of the battery and check the power level
The main body of the smart battery, handle, wire, power plug should be checked regularly to observe whether the appearance is damaged, deformed, corroded, discolored, broken skin, and whether the plug is too loose to connect with the aircraft.
At the end of each operation, the surface of the battery and the power plug must be wiped with a dry cloth to ensure that there is no pesticide residue to avoid corrosion of the battery. The temperature of the smart battery is high after the flight operation, you need to wait until the temperature of the flight smart battery drops below 40℃ before charging it (the best temperature range for charging the flight smart battery is 5℃ to 40℃).
6. Smart Battery Emergency Disposal
If the smart battery suddenly catches fire while charging, first of all, cut off the power supply of the charger; use asbestos gloves or fire poker to take off the smart battery burning by the charger, and place it on the ground or in the firefighting sand bucket in isolation. Cover the burning embers of the smart battery on the ground with a cotton blanket. Asphyxiate the burning smart battery by burying it in firefighting sand on top of the blanket to insulate it from the air.
If you need to scrap a spent smart battery, soak the battery in salt water for 72 hours or more to ensure it is fully discharged before drying and scrapping.
Do not: use dry powder to extinguish, because dry powder on solid metal chemical fire needs a lot of dust to cover, and the equipment has a corrosive effect, pollution of space.
Carbon dioxide does not pollute the space and corrosion of the machine, but only to achieve instantaneous suppression of the fire, need to use sand, gravel, cotton blankets and other fire extinguishing tools with the use.
Buried in sand, covered with sand, using isolation and suffocation to extinguish the fire is the best way to deal with smart battery combustion.
The first time the discovery of the person should be put out as soon as possible, while using communication tools to notify other people to reinforce, to minimize the loss of property.
